Join us on Macomb!

Island Nights is back for 2026!

Join us from 6-9PM the third Friday of June, July, and August for Island Summer Nights, a series of themed community events celebrating Grosse Ile's businesses, history, creativity, and small-town charm. Stroll downtown, visit local businesses, participate in family-friendly activities, and vote for your favorite themed displays throughout the district.

June 19 – Island Summer Nights

Kick off the summer with Decorate Oar Be Left Out!, an oar decorating contest celebrating Grosse Ile's rich maritime heritage. Local businesses will showcase uniquely decorated wooden oars throughout downtown, and visitors can vote for their favorites. The evening is a great opportunity to explore downtown and celebrate the Island's maritime heritage!

July 17 – Red, White, and You!

Celebrate both Grosse Ile's and the United States' 250th anniversaries with an evening of patriotic fun. Enjoy Americana-themed storefront displays, historic games and activities, and a community scavenger hunt as downtown businesses join together to commemorate this historic milestone.

August 21 – Dog Days of Summer

Round out the Island Nights series with Dog Days of Summer, featuring a dog house decorating contest throughout the downtown district. Visitors can view the creative displays, vote for their favorites, and enjoy a fun-filled summer evening while supporting local businesses.

We look forward to seeing you downtown this summer!
