What is the Grosse Ile Downtown Development Authority?

About Us

The Grosse Ile Downtown Development Authority (DDA) was established in 1992 to support the economic vitality of the Township's downtown district along Macomb Street. Through business development, public improvements, community events, and beautification projects, the DDA works to strengthen downtown as a destination for residents, businesses, and visitors.

The DDA operates under Michigan Public Act 57 of 2018 and is governed by a nine-member Board appointed in accordance with state law, with day-to-day operations overseen by the DDA Director. The DDA's funding priorities, capital improvements, and economic development initiatives are guided by its Development and Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Plan, which serves as the framework for investing in and enhancing the downtown district.
